Paul Messing, the King of Sound (and a hilarious guy)
Paul Messing (the handsome bearded devil you see here) has been collaborating with me forever it seems on trying to get an Animals as Teachers and Healers radio show out there. Funding is tight for such projects, but along the way, we’ve created some downright good stuff we’d like to share with you here. Wilson, Paul’s cat (the handsome fur-face devil you also see here) has supervised us along the way, showing us how do a truly cat-chy blog site (check out http://splosive.blogspot.com), and supporting us in our hard studio work with profound teachings on power napping.
ON INSECTS AND HUMILITY: INTERVIEW (running time approx. 4.5 minutes)— Susan and author friend Joanne Lauk talk about bugs. Really. Joanne’s book “The Voice of the Infinite in the Small: Revisioning the Insect-Human Connection,” is a work of art and soul, and will change the way you interact with flies and worms for the rest of your life—in a good way. Very compelling listening. http://www.audioo.com/listen/track/7216ab52cbca4e5
THE ELEPHANT SANCTUARY (running time approx. 7 minutes)—Carol Buckley, founder of the Elephant Sanctuary in Hohenwald, Tennessee, talks with me about about the nature of elephants, and what it means to hold them captive. The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee is a place where elephants can live out their lives in beauty, with friends, and with the dignity and respect they so deserve. I also relate a short story of my own experience with elephants. In our time, we could see the last of the African Elephant. A sobering thought. Come listen to Carol speak about her life with the elephants of Hohenwald. http://www.audioo.com/listen/track/a988a034490defa

WIlsoN! You are such a beautiful, beautiful animal! You were made for pictures, dahling. Your person is very clever to recognize your star qualities. It’s cool to see him here. (Obviously some of us are trainable.) And you are very clever for being a supporter of Susan’s site. I will take your recommendation. Bravo! Carry on. Your public awaits.

Wow! What great audio nuggets! You should definitely be broadcasting and/or selling these pieces. Very informative, emotional, and produced with style and elegance…and great music!
I’m going to listen to the whole pilot of “For Kindred Spirits.”
Keep up the good work!
