Hello. I just read your article/story in SageWoman, Opossum Power.
I just wanted to let you know that I truly enjoyed it… even though it brought a small tear to my eye.
Being a guy, guess I will never fully know what it is to be The Crone. But I am very grateful to you & the rest of the Ladys at SageWoman for you’re storys. They have help me a great deal in dealing with my own ageing prosses.
And thank you also for sharing Pepper’s story. It really was quite beautifully. Blessed Be. San

Hi Caroline! I posted your message to me because I want folks to see the link to your blog, which is just beautiful! Good work, Lady! And I remember our retreat and what a joy it was to spend such beautiful days in the company of kindred spirits!

    Hi Susan,
My name is Caroline and I met you in 2004, at the Kindred Spirits Retreat in Wyoming. I remember spending some time with you in a writing exercise we did, when you asked us to write from the heart, to our souls. What would we say? I’ve never forgotten that.

I have a blog site which I work very hard at to post heartfelt, quality material. My true life stories are reflections from my having lived and worked for 20 years, in Baja California,Mexico, on a guest/horse ranch. I hope you don’t mind but I have you on my blog roll as a link.
I just posted something about your book, Animals as Teachers and Healers, which I love and I’ve read over and over again. You are such an inspiration Susan. Your compassion and insight as a writer,a person filled with incredible experiences about life and living, is truly inspiring.
I just wanted to touch base with you on that, and thank you for sharing your wisdom.
    Sincerely,
    Caroline Aguiar

    Dear Sue,
Here’s a blast from the past. I’m Suzanne Benterou Evans, from your jr. high & high school era. I am in the process of putting together a remembrance book for Lisa for her 60th birthday and felt you should be included. I am looking for a story or anecdote or just a greeting. I would love a picture and I will scrapbook it all together with others in her life.
I just got off the phone with Chris Gember. I am still looking for D. Velasquez and Jessie.
Hope all is well in your life! Congrats on the successful writing career.

I have just finished reading ‘Animals as Teachers and Healers’. It resonated with me profoundly. You described the fascination and connection with natural things so well. Over the years I’ve gathered no small amount of wisdom from animals. I related to your Wolf guide story, because I’ve “seen” them too, in meditation and in dreams (as well as others). I actually dreamed of a spider the very night after reading the ‘Taratulove’ chapter. Your Kulu story made me cry, reading it and then telling my husband about it! I’ve never really felt this compelled to write to an author of a book I’ve read, but I wanted to let you know that it was needed. It was a deeply thoughtful emotional, encouraging experience. Thank you so much for writing it!
